Sometimes we bite off way more than we can chew because we are excited and because we want to see results. The problem is that we won't get there if we can't even start. So set goals that are small and achievable before moving on to goals that are bigger and more challenging. 4) Make a Plan to Gain Mental and Physical Strength

Don't put yourself down. Build yourself up. Work on gaining physical strength by lifting weights, working with a trainer or trying a strength training or pilates class. Day by day, you'll gain mental and physical power.

 

5) Accept Where You Are

As the old saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day." Changing your lifestyle in a day can't happen either. So accept fully where you are. Celebrate who you are and where you are going. Encourage yourself by celebrating your choice to make changes. You should love who you are in the moment.

 

6) Don't Compare

You are on your own healthy journey. You do not need competitors in the field. You need people who will support and encourage you along the way. So don't look at who is running beside you or behind you or in front of you. Focus on where you are. Focus on your goals at the moment. Don't think you need to lose a certain amount of weight or be at a certain place based upon what your friends or loved ones are doing. You are you, and you are going somewhere.
